GBV, CLaT, VAWG
Cewefia prioritizes addressing Gender-Based Violence (GBV), Child Labor and Trafficking (CLaT), and Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG) as core focus areas, recognizing their devastating impact on individuals and communities in Ghana. These issues are interlinked and rooted in systemic inequalities that perpetuate cycles of poverty, exploitation, and disempowerment.

Gender-Based Violence (GBV):
Cewefia works to prevent and respond to GBV through advocacy, awareness campaigns, and survivor support services. The organization educates communities on the harmful effects of GBV, promotes gender equality, and challenges cultural norms that normalize violence. Cewefia also collaborates with local authorities and service providers to establish safe spaces and ensure survivors have access to counseling, legal aid, and healthcare services.

Child Labor and Trafficking (CLaT):
In its fight against child exploitation, Cewefia targets the root causes of CLaT, such as poverty, lack of education, and limited economic opportunities. The organization conducts community sensitization programs to raise awareness about the dangers of child labor and trafficking. It works with local leaders and law enforcement to rescue and reintegrate affected children while providing livelihood support to vulnerable families to prevent reoccurrence.

Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG):
Cewefia tackles VAWG by empowering women and girls through education, skills training, and advocacy. The organization facilitates school-based programs to educate youth on gender equality and human rights while engaging men and boys as allies in preventing violence. Cewefia also advocates for policies that strengthen protection for women and girls and enhance accountability for perpetrators. Through its holistic approach to GBV, CLaT, and VAWG, Cewefia contributes to creating safer, more equitable communities where individuals can thrive free from violence and exploitation.
